COMMUNITY PLOT HOLES - PART 4

So guys! I am here with the review of Season 4.

Quite sorrowful season since it is the 4th and final year of the college. Jeff is planning to graduate early and we got just 13 episode for the whole season. In my opinion the show died at the end of this season, but let's talk about it later.

Anyway Dan did a wonderful job, throwing away so much details in to the season, that most of the episodes were the Study group remembering past memories. In my point of view, the season was a plot holes goldmine. Let's go through one by one of my list of plot holes for season 4.

1) Vicki coming to a closed study room when the study group was playing D&D.

In episode 4, group meet with a strong opponent to compete, Germans. They criticize the group about their obsession over the study room, when in finally they lose the privilege of using the study room. Also the Germans turn all the other students against the study group. Then only the Greendale Seven learns that they were always undermining the others. Anyway people begins to remind all their memories of the Study group getting in their way. So Vikki mentions an instance where she came to study and Jeff asks her to leave. More importantly she tried to enters closed room where the group was playing with Neil. But if you recall, through out the episode of D&D the door was open.

2) Annie holding a Welcome Archie Banner

Annie was always the teacher's pet. She was a good kid such that she made a banner for Archie, where still not even being introduced to the show. This happens in episode 6, which is before the arrival of Archie. This actually is a plot hole isn't it ?

3) "I'm glad I did't have kids"

In the episode 7, Pierce says above words. While this is classic Pierce, we can take a moment here to remind Pierce's hot daughter Amber, who Jeff nailed btw, twice. 😏

4) Jeff missing kid's baseball match

In episode 9, we get to a see a sesame street themed episode. The study group uses puppets to interpret a story which happened to them earlier. Jeff confesses that he met a woman with a child and he missed a Base ball match which he was supposed to go. So this episode aired 11th April 2013. Hope you remember Adam Sandler Movie "Blended" which aired on 23rd May 2014. In their Jeff acts as a divorced father and misses a Base ball match of his younger son. If you are a super fan these things will be clicked instantly. 😂

5) E 13 Chang helping anyone,taking a bullet for Jeff

It is quite an upset, that the season had only 13 episodes. Which captured only one semester of the final year, since Jeff graduated early. Anyway when the evil study group cam from the darkest timeline, Chang did a heroic thing and  took a bullet for Jeff. Even for Chang it was very weird, the fact that this Maniac did a sacrifice.

Anyway guys this concludes my review of Season 4. Hope to see you all in a future post.

Take care till then !

  1. The first flashback the Garrett trying to get into the study room they show a few people waiting outside but they are looking for the missing pen. In the original episode it took place during the puppy parade where the Dean stresses practically everyone is there. Just noticed it watching now

    2. Yeah that's a good point, never noticed it. I liked the German's first episode as it gave the background a chance to shine: Todd who has every right to be pissed with the study group, Garrett who is so cute, Fat Neil who knows you have to fight for what right and Vicki who is just hilarious. That's one of the many reasons I love community. Seriously the episode with Todd seems like it should of been made by YouTubers "Cracked" who did an episode called "Why the Friends of Friends were actually bad people." Community is metra and was way a head of it time and I happily to have thought and binged though it like crazy and looking at lots of extra content about it now, I am like Abed with a TV show, I really grip my teeth into them and don't stop until I learn all their secrets. I can relate to just about all the characters in someway from META Abed to good-two Annie, to well-I-ever-do-something-wroth well-but-probably-won't-ever-do-it Britta, to I-Love-my-phone Jeff to Troy misunderstood words and incredibly sense of humour to Shirley anger issues to Pierce's wanting to fit in, I love it when Pierce gets to be the hero over the typical role he played of villain, community for a while kept us on our toes between who the Villain was, Jeff or Pierce. Then when Pierce does leave, and Chevy Chase hung in for a long time considering everything, the show didn't need him anymore anyways, they indroctucted Hickey who was gone and wiped from our memories in the very next season without exclaimation in the Show, and then Frankie, I watched on Netflix so I skipped though S5 and S6, I really think the show died after Season 4, but I started hearing people online saying than Season 5 and Season 6 were so much better than Season 4, because Dan Harmon returned, but really I would of been happy to leave it at Indroctuction to Teaching where Jeff comes full circle. I mean B. I. N was fun, I loved it but after than the remaining episodes of S5 and S6 filled flat and hollow for the most part, Garrett wedding was cute, it great to have background characters to fill in to stop the show getting boring rather than centre it all around the main characters, like think how differently friends would of been it then had went with the storyline of Gunther and Rachel getting together and having a hairless cat beyond that one episode. Changes to the original script in TV Shows are off great fascination to me which is which is why I'm here and hear you on all your pointsExplore Surfer, but I like to point Amber wasn't exactly Pierce's kid, he and her mother were married for a bit, but who knows what age she was or how long the marriage lasted, didn't Pierce say in the first episode than he was married Seven Times, does he think he's a modern day American version of Henry the VII or something but yeah Pierce never had Kids, not because he sterile but because he has a rare condition called Hyper-virginly which means the sperm just shoots the eggs, can you believe that? Call back to dialogue in episode 2 - Spanish 101.
